The probe is the latest police activity into whether lies were told during the court battle between Sheridan, a left-wing MSP, and the News Of The World.Police are currently interviewing witnesses who testified in court that they saw Sheridan at an orgy at the Moat House hotel in Glasgow in June 2002.Helen Allison and Ann Colvin, who both told the jury they saw the incidents, have been questioned, as has an alleged organiser of the party, Matt McColl.

The Sunday Herald has now learned thatofficersflewtoJerseyrecently to interview another man named as an alleged Moat House participant.McManus was asked by police about whether he had any information on the alleged sex party.Duringthecase,theJerseyman's name was read out in court, while he was also named by Allison as the only person present in the Moat House suite as she entered the room.
